Who Is Samantha Decker?
This website serves as a portal to all my personal and professional endeavors on the internet. As you may have guessed, my name is Samantha Decker and I am a French teacher from upstate New York. I teach at Maple Avenue Middle School in Saratoga Springs, NY. I graduated in 2009 from the State University of New York at Oswego where I majored in Adolescent Education for French and Spanish. While foreign languages and secondary education are my professional passions, photography and web/graphic design fulfill my creative side. I have been designing and building my own websites since I was 12 years old (back then most websites were ugly so it was pretty easy to make one stand out!), and occasionally I design graphics and websites for people I know. Before I realized I wanted to be a foreign language teacher, I thought I would be a web or graphic designer. I much prefer it as a hobby though, because I only have to learn as much coding as I want to. Photography is a more recent hobby I have taken up, but I am already quite invested in it!
